Cloudy and Rain PM clear and warm. August 5 am. Sent on boxes by Sgt. Thompson and others and stopped until next train. Dr. W.H. Tutt – photographed by Tucker and Perkins. Left package with Dr. Tutt to send home. Night train at 7 pm for Atlanta. 9 am overtook my part in Atlanta, Brown and Hope. Visited hospitals to find Lt. Page and heard of his death on the 9th. Write A. Page and board cars at 7 pm for Dalton.
Sat 12. Clear, warm, pleasant. Dalton at daylight and camp soon afterwards. Settled off bounties and distributed officers cloth. Rev. Wood. I recd letters from E, L, R. Wrote E by Miller of Watauga.
