Saturday 12th [March 1864]
I doubled some cotton stocking yarn this morning. Matt sit up at Ham Cannon’s. She says Aunt Patsey looks very natural. We went to her burying soon as we got dinner. Willie & Zona went also. A good many people there. Till Morris came home with us this evening. She went home late this evening. WE got here about 3 o’clock. Tom Morris came on with Mr. Henry about 4 o’clock. Tom Cook brought Willie’s & Zona’s shoes today. They are very nice. Willie was needing his shoes badly. An old man named Young stay here tonight from Transilvania. Very pleasant today.
