Tuesday 21st [June 1864]
I sewed on my quilt today & finished it & intend piecing two like it for the crib. The tories & deserters killed Andy Johnston of Henderson Co. a few weeks ago. There are a great many in Henderson & Transelvania Cos. I hope they will never come here. I do hope & pray we may never fall into the hands of our enemies. Mr. Henry at home all day.
