Monday 20th [June 1864]
I cleaned up this morning & ten cleaned the smoke house. Everything gets out of order when I am sick a day or two. Cousin Bob Love of Haywood was here today. I had an early dinner & he & old Mr. Common started soon after dinner. I pieced my quilts today. It is pieced in a single irish chain. I received a letter from Dora tonight saying they were all well. I was very glad to hear it. Mr. Henry will go after him next week.
