Gus quite sick this morning. I was up with him several times last night, vomiting & purging. He has some fever this morning. Mrs. Andrews spent the day here. I bound my old palm leaf fan this morning & nursed Gus & knit in the evening. I go up & sit awhile with Atheline every evening. She loves company. I don’t think I will sit with her long. She can’t walk alone, her feet are badly swollen. She is nothing but skin & bone.
